A poem written by Mary Nock
to share the love story
of
Denise and Kesel
Thirty plus years ago at a birthday party
in California, Denise and Kesel met.
It was a day they would never forget.
From the moment they said hello,
they knew their souls met so long ago.
Over the next few years, they had a long-distance relationship.
They met every chance they could to go on romantic trips.
They drove to Las Vegas, San Diego and Mexico.
Kesel came to the DMV area to meet Denise’s mom
and her best friends to get to know.
The relationship felt promising and real.
The happiness they felt together,
they could not conceal.
Unforeseen circumstances interrupted
the journey they were on,
leaving one devastated and now traveling alone.
Many years passed and time brought about a change.
They discovered that in each other’s heart
they always remained.
Kesel moved to Maryland to rekindle their relationship,
and prove his feelings for Denise were real and true.
The more time they spent together,
the deeper their love grew.
The Bible says “A man who finds a wife, finds a good thing.”
This they accept by the giving of rings.
On this day of September 14, 2024,
their family and friends wish them the best.
A lifetime of love and happiness.
